The XS series wheel bucket sand washing machine is a high-efficiency sand washing equipment developed by our company based on the introduction of advanced foreign technology and combined with the actual situation of the domestic sand and gravel industry. It integrates washing, dewatering, and grading functions, and is mainly used in construction sites, sand and gravel plants, glass factories, hydropower stations, and other industries for washing ores and sand. What is the working principle of the XS Series Wheel Sand Washer?

◎The motor drives the impeller to rotate slowly through a V-belt, reducer, and gears. Sand and gravel enter the washing tank through the feed chute, where they tumble and grind against each other under the impeller's influence, removing impurities from their surface and breaking down the moisture layer surrounding the sand particles to facilitate dehydration. During impeller rotation, a strong water flow is created by adding water, promptly carrying away impurities and lighter foreign objects, which are then discharged from the overflow outlet. The clean sand and gravel are lifted by the impeller bucket; as they rise with the impeller, water flows back into the washing tank through the mesh screen, achieving initial dehydration.

Finally, the sand and gravel are poured from the rotating impeller into the discharge chute, completing the washing process.

The equipment consists of an impeller, reducer, support frame, and water tank. The motor drives the large impeller to rotate slowly in the water tank via the reducer, while the sand tumbles and is washed by water inside the bucket.

The wheel sand washing machine has a simple structure, extremely low fine sand loss rate (due to the slow impeller speed), and the transmission parts are isolated from water and sand, resulting in a low failure rate and significant water and electricity savings.

It is suitable for scenarios with medium mud content and high requirements for the gradation of finished sand, such as river sand washing, construction sand making, and concrete mixing plant feeding.

The screen is a wear part, but we use high-strength manganese steel or polyurethane material, which has strong wear resistance. The screen is bolted, making replacement very convenient.

The impeller drive bearing assembly is completely isolated from water and the material being washed. This design effectively prevents the bearings from rusting or being damaged due to water immersion or sand contamination.

During the rotation and lifting of the impeller bucket, the sand undergoes a natural dehydration process. If extremely dry sand is required, it is recommended to use a high-frequency dewatering screen at the discharge end.

The main difference is in output. A single impeller bucket is suitable for small factories, while double or triple impeller buckets (such as the 2XS and 3XS series) significantly increase processing capacity and are suitable for large-scale sand and gravel production lines.

It is an energy-saving device. Due to the slow impeller speed and the operation through physical scooping, its energy consumption is typically only 50%-70% of that of a spiral type for the same processing capacity.
