PF Series Impact Crusher – Product Overview

The PF Series impact crusher adopts advanced technologies and a unique structural design. Its finished products feature a cubic shape without tension or cracks, delivering an optimal particle size and shape. It is capable of crushing coarse, medium and fine materials with a maximum feed size of less than 500mm and a compressive strength of up to 350MPa, including granite, limestone, concrete and other materials. Widely applied in various fields such as ore crushing, railway, highway, energy, cement, chemical engineering and construction industries, the crusher allows flexible adjustment of the finished product size.

Three-stage combined crushing

A combination of free impact, counter-impact, and milling processes, fracturing along the material's weakest point, resulting in high efficiency, good particle shape, and low dust.

Rigid rotor structure

The hammers are rigidly connected to the rotor, ensuring full energy conversion and strong impact force for deep crushing.

Screen-free design

No screen bars at the bottom; speed and gap control particle size, eliminating clogging problems caused by materials containing water or mud.

Optimized crushing chamber

The large chamber enhances the "stone-on-stone" self-collision effect, and the impact plate's curve guides the material precisely back to the crushing zone.

Flexible adjustment system

Multiple suspension adjustment devices allow for real-time gap adjustment, adapting to various crushing conditions including coarse, medium, and fine crushing.

What is the working principle of an impact crusher?

Impact crusher crushes material by striking energy. When it works, the motor drives the rotor to rotate at a high speed, on which the blow bar is installed. As soon as the material gets into the affecting area of the blow bar, they will be stroke by the blow bar and be thrown to the impact devices around the rotor.

The high speed forces the material to rebound from the impact liner to the area where the blow bar effects until they have been crushed to the required size. The clearance between the impact racks and the rotor can be adjusted to change the size and shape of the end products.

Why choose our impact crusher?

◎Superior Finished Particle Shape: Utilizing a crushing mechanism combining "stone-on-stone" and "milling," the produced aggregate is cubic with extremely low needle-like and flaky content, exhibiting uniform gradation, making it the optimal choice for high-standard construction projects.

◎Stronger Impact Energy: The hammer and rotor are connected with high-strength rigidity, fully utilizing the rotational inertia of the overall rotor, resulting in greater kinetic energy for the material. Even with hard and brittle materials, it easily achieves a high crushing ratio.

◎Lower Energy Costs: Compared to crushing equipment of the same specifications, its compact structure, large effective crushing range, and lower energy consumption per ton, along with the screenless design, reduce ineffective power consumption caused by material blockage.

◎Intelligent Overload Protection: The impact device combines adjustment and safety functions. When non-crushable materials enter, the impact plate automatically retracts and resets, protecting the core rotor from damage.

◎More Convenient Maintenance Experience: The modular hammer design supports 180° flipping for use, doubling the lifespan of vulnerable parts. The machine body has multiple small maintenance doors, allowing for quick adjustments to clearances and replacement of parts using only conventional tools.

Our Case

Jiaozuo Zhongxin® provides advanced crushing and screening equipment for industries involved in rock and mineral processing. From individual machines to mobile crushing units and complete processing plants, our solutions are designed to meet diverse production needs, supported by professional technical service and reliable after-sales support.

Common Problems

This section is designed to address the most pressing inquiries customers may have regarding the daily operation, maintenance, product advantages, and after-sales service of our crushing and screening equipment. Our aim is to help you gain a comprehensive understanding of our overall capabilities and enable you to make informed decisions for your projects.

The lifespan of the hammer impact plate is directly related to the hardness and abrasiveness of the material being crushed, as well as the equipment's rotational speed. When processing ordinary limestone, a single set of hammer impact plates can last from several thousand to tens of thousands of tons.

The output particle size can be changed by adjusting the gap between the impact plate and the hammer impact plate. The smaller the gap, the finer the output particle size; conversely, the larger the gap, the coarser the output particle size. For specific adjustment methods, please refer to the equipment instruction manual or consult our technical service personnel.

The rotor undergoes rigorous dynamic balancing verification. Combined with a heavy-duty frame and vibration-damping design, equipment vibration and noise are controlled within national standards. It is recommended to install a concrete foundation for further vibration reduction during installation.

The equipment adopts a grate-less design or a large-gap grate, which has good adaptability to materials with a moisture content below 15% and is not prone to clogging. For sticky materials, a grate-less structure can be selected.

Hammer plate: Timely face rotation or replacement is necessary to ensure crushing efficiency. Impact liner: Also a wear part, wear should be checked. Our equipment is equipped with a hydraulic opening device, making these inspections and maintenance tasks simpler and faster.

There are three core differences: ① Connection method: Impact crushers have a rigid connection between the hammer plates and the rotor, utilizing the inertia of the entire rotor for impact; hammer crushers have hinged hammers. ② Impact direction: Impact crushers strike the material from bottom to top; hammer crushers strike the material along its direction. ③ Discharge control: Impact crushers typically have no screen bars, relying on gaps to control particle size; hammer crushers discharge material through bottom screen openings.

The machine must be stopped immediately for inspection. Focus on checking if the bearing housing seal has failed (allowing dust to enter) and if the grease is dried out or contaminated. The solution is to add grease monthly, thoroughly clean and change the oil every three months, and replace the oil felt seals.

Shutdown must follow the principle of "stop feeding first, then stop the machine." First, stop feeding and wait until all material in the crushing chamber has been crushed and discharged before turning off the motor power. This prevents residual material from accumulating in the crushing chamber, avoiding motor burnout or equipment jamming during the next load start-up.
