GZT Vibrating Grizzly Feeder: The High-Capacity Feeding Solution for Primary Crushing

The GZT series vibrating grizzly feeder is a highly efficient and robust feeding equipment designed to continuously and evenly deliver bulk materials into primary crushers. Engineered with advanced technology, this vibrating feeder performs two critical operations simultaneously: uniform feeding and efficient pre-screening, making it an indispensable asset in quarrying, mining, recycling, and aggregate industries.
As a high-performance vibrating feeding machine, the GZT series is widely used to handle harsh and abrasive materials like granite, basalt, limestone, river pebbles, and iron ore. It is the perfect choice for primary feeding stages in crushing and screening plants.

Compact & Lightweight

Simple, compact design that reduces space requirements, equipment weight, and initial investment costs.

Adjustable Feed Rate

Supports optional variable-frequency speed-regulation motors for precise control of the material flow rate, eliminating frequent motor start-ups.

Integrated Pre-screening

Utilizing built-in screen bars, it removes dirt and fines during the feeding process to achieve pre-screening. (Pure feeding mode is optional).

Low Maintenance & Economical

Easy to install with a low maintenance frequency, resulting in significantly reduced long-term operational expenses.

Dual-Motor Synchronous Technology

Driven by two identical, counter-rotating vibration motors, the GZT feeder achieves perfect self-synchronization.

Technical Highlights of the GZT Vibrating Scalping Feeder

1. Heavy-Duty Grizzly Section for Smart Scalping:

The integrated grizzly bars/screen bars effectively bypass undersized materials and clay before they hit the crusher. This pre-screening process not only boosts your total plant throughput but also protects your primary crusher from unnecessary clogging and wear.

2. Stepless Feed Rate Regulation:

Utilizing premium vibration motors equipped with adjustable eccentric blocks, the GZT feeder allows operators to easily fine-tune the exciting force. For advanced automation, optional VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) motors enable precise, real-time control of the feeding capacity to match your downstream conveyor needs.

3. Built to Endure Harsh Quarry Environments:

Every GZT vibrating grizzly feeder features a reinforced main frame lined with highly wear-resistant liner plates. Supported by heavy-duty vibration isolation springs, the equipment absorbs massive impact loads from dump trucks while protecting the concrete foundation.

4. Engineered for Maximum ROI (Return on Investment)

With its compact footprint, low power consumption, and highly accessible wear parts, the GZT series is a low-maintenance powerhouse. Whether you are processing hard granite, abrasive basalt, limestone, or recycled concrete, this feeding machine delivers maximum uptime and the lowest cost-per-ton operation.

How Does the GZT Series Vibrating Feeder Work?

The working principle of the GZT series vibrating feeder is based on the centrifugal force provided by the heavy-duty vibration motor. This powerful force causes the movable parts, such as the screen box, to perform continuous circular or approximately circular movements.

To control the feed rate, operators can adjust the exciting force of the equipment by simply changing the angle between the two sets of adjustable eccentric blocks on the vibration motor. Ultimately, this ensures that the bulk materials flow continuously and smoothly, achieving the goal of automated material conveying and feeding.

In heavy-duty mining and quarrying operations, inconsistent material flow and premature crusher wear are major bottlenecks. The GZT series vibrating grizzly feeder is engineered specifically to solve these challenges. Serving as the critical first step in the primary crushing stage, this high-performance vibrating feeder ensures a regulated, continuous, and high-capacity flow of bulk materials while automatically screening out unwanted fines and dirt.

Our Case

Jiaozuo Zhongxin® provides advanced crushing and screening equipment for industries involved in rock and mineral processing. From individual machines to mobile crushing units and complete processing plants, our solutions are designed to meet diverse production needs, supported by professional technical service and reliable after-sales support.

Common Problems

This section is designed to address the most pressing inquiries customers may have regarding the daily operation, maintenance, product advantages, and after-sales service of our crushing and screening equipment. Our aim is to help you gain a comprehensive understanding of our overall capabilities and enable you to make informed decisions for your projects.

Model selection depends on three key factors: 1. Your required capacity (tons per hour); 2. The maximum feed size (the largest rock dimensions); 3. The material characteristics (such as moisture content, density, and abrasiveness). Contact our technical team, and we will calculate the optimal specifications and configuration for you.

GZT vibrating feeders are typically installed with a downward slope (usually between 0° and 10° or customized based on the site layout) to aid material movement by gravity. It must be mounted on a solid, level concrete foundation or a heavy steel structural platform to ensure that the damping springs bear the load evenly.

The GZT vibrating feeder utilizes two identical, counter-rotating vibration motors. Through the principle of self-synchronization, their centrifugal forces cancel each other out in the horizontal direction and combine in the vertical direction. This creates a powerful linear vibrating force that moves materials uniformly forward without deviation.

The most common wear parts for the GZT series include the Liner Plates (which protect the main frame from abrasive material wear), the Grizzly Bars (subject to direct rock impact), and the Damping Springs (which handle continuous high-frequency fatigue). We always recommend keeping these spare parts in stock.

The feeding capacity can be adjusted in two ways: 1) Manually, by altering the angle between the two sets of adjustable eccentric blocks on the vibration motors to change the exciting force; 2) Automatically, by equipping the feeder with an optional Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) motor to regulate the motor speed dynamically.

Yes, absolutely. While the standard GZT model includes a grizzly section for scalping, we also offer a "pure feeding mode" configuration with a fully blind/lined deck. This option is ideal if your raw material is already clean and does not require pre-screening before crushing.

It features a grizzly section made of wear-resistant manganese steel bars at the discharge end. As materials move along the feeder, smaller particles, dirt, and clay drop through the gaps between the grizzly bars, while the larger rocks continue forward into the crusher. This avoids overloading the crusher and boosts total efficiency.

For standard GZT models, the lead time is typically 15 to 25 days depending on current factory stock. We provide a 12-month warranty from the date of commissioning or 18 months from shipment, covering all major structural parts against manufacturing defects, alongside lifelong online technical support.
